Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping with The Minimal Edit. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read our policy below regarding refunds and returns, designed to comply with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Under ACL, you have the right to a refund, replacement, or repair if a product is:

  • Faulty, damaged, or not as described

  • Does not match the sample or demonstration model

  • Not fit for the purpose it was sold for

These rights are in addition to any returns or exchanges we offer.


2. Change of Mind Returns and Exchanges

If you simply change your mind, we may accept returns or exchanges within 14 days of receiving your order provided that:

  • The item is unused, unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition with all tags attached

  • The item is returned in its original packaging

  • You provide proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

Please note: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping when returning due to change of mind.


3. Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or you received the wrong product, please contact us immediately at theminimal.edit@outlook.com.au.

  • We will arrange for the return shipping at no cost to you.

  • Upon receipt and inspection, we will offer a refund depending on your preference and the nature of the fault.


4. How to Return an Item

To initiate a return or exchange:

  1. Click this link to access your customer account - https://shopify.com/72666284181/account

  2. Locate your order history & select the order that contains the item/s you wish to return.

  3. Initiate a return request, specifying the items for return and select the reason for your return (e.g., damaged, wrong size, etc). Please note - if you are trying to return something faulty, please email (theminimal.edit@outlook.com.au) & include photos of the fault.

  4. Submit your return.
  5. Your return will either be accepted or declined by admin & a return label will be sent to your email. Please note - all return shipping costs will be deducted from your final refund amount when deposited back to your original payment method. Shipping costs will depend on how many items are being sent. 
  6. If we receive your return & we deem your return as unacceptable (ie. it has been worn, tags were not included or the item was not delivered in its original condition),  the item will be sent back to you at your cost - deducted from your original payment method.

5. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned item.

  • Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

  • Shipping costs are refundable only when the return is due to a fault or error on our part.


6. Final Sale Items

Products marked as Final Sale or Clearance will not be eligible for returns or exchanges unless faulty.
